Curved and 3D Glass – the new hype in top end architecture – an examination of latest product developments and Projects For the past 2-3 years, I have been observing a strong architectural trend towards curved and 3D glass, for which there are essentially no clear quality guidelines yet.
Only a few companies are able to deliver good quality glass based on their own standards. Perfect concave and convex tempered Low-E glass as well as tempered double curved (3D) glass with at the same time increasing smaller and wider radii are more and more requested. • Super High and Small Radius Tempered Curved Glass • Super Arc Length and Small Radius Tempered Curved Glass • Perfect Concave and Convex Tempered Low-E Glass • Multi Curved Tempered Glass and Annealed Curved Glass Moreover prismatic glasses and 3D tempered and laminated glass of big sizes are applied in top end projects, which shall be displayed.
The feasibility and quality standards will be surveyed, and the latest developments and perspectives presented.
