Another video by JDS Development Group, Building Knowhow: Skybridge, starts with an account of a day when the fire fighters appeared at the site. “We got a call – the buildings are falling down!” the central fire fighter revealed to Michael Jones, chief of JDS. Jones reacted with a laugh, “they’re supposed to be like that!”

Situated on the East Side of Manhattan, the American Copper Buildings, designed by New York-based SHoP Architects, test the limits of design engineering. In an educational video, JDS Development Group records the construction of the skybridge between the towers, documenting their conscientious, well ordered approach. 300 feet high, a building landmark, it is New York’s first major skybridge in 80 years.
In any case, the skybridge isn’t simply a ‘trail’ between the towers; the scaffold likewise exchanges power and condenser water between the towers.
