And the Award Goes to…
Andrew Haring for Glazier Nation’s 2021 Industry Advocate of the Year.
When we filmed this video of Andrew in LA, he had zero clue that we wanted to shoot it to award him. I asked him to simply carry us around the city and tell us his story. Instead he done what he always, always does…he put the spotlight on people more deserving in his opinion. When you find a person who loves this industry more, point me in that direction.
Last Week on The Facade Pod, Matthew Krier and Mitch Hawkins asked me who was my biggest influencer in the Industry. It was a very personal moment for me. I said it was Andrew at this particular time and I listed several reasons why.
In the video, we would like to thank National Glass Association (NGA), C.R. Laurence , Pulp Studio, Inc, FHC Frameless Hardware Company LLC , GLASSWERKS LA , Giroux Glass, Inc. , SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, Barry Sutherland , Don Friese, Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope and so many more for being in Andrew’s Story. Tyler E. Hall, I can’t thank you enough for spending the day with Andrew on our behalf. We couldn’t get the story without you.
This Award Automatically Nominated Andrew Haring for the Glazier Nation Hall of Fame for 2022. He will have to be voted in by the people later this year to make the cut. He will never ask for your vote but I will state he will be on one of mine.
Andrew Haring beat out Jeff Dalaba for this award in 2021 and Kayla Natividad followed in for a close third. We want to take this time to thank each of them as well. Jeff is leading the way with helping Glaziers become Certified and glass companies to become more efficient. Kayla is a key figure in helping glass secure its way in building envelopes so we all have a job. All 3 is Pretty dang important in our book.
Andrew Haring we are humbled and honored to Award you in the midst of some very fine colleagues and peers. 2020 & 2021 was not an easy year on this industry. You worked hard to keep the people informed on how to beat the hard circumstances they was faced with, you kept the people motivated and you kept this Industry moving forward. At the same time you stayed focused on the Glazier in the field. Never has NGA ever been so focused on the Blue Collar Work force of our industry as when you came along.
Very glad to share the same ERA with your leadership. Even happier God had you in position when the Pandemic Hit.
I will let the video say the rest.
